Philippians 1 v 1-11
The Apostle Paul had joy in his adverse circumstances because he was single minded on the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
He saw his circumstances as God’s providence in exalting Christ.
He was single minded concerning three things:
- Fellowship of the Gospel.
- Furtherance of the Gospel.
- Faith in the Gospel.
He had the Philippians in His mind, holding them in his heart.
He prayed for them with joy, knowing that Christ would finish the work that He began in them. He prayed that their love would abound… to the glory and praise of God alone.
