02 Sola Gratia, Sola Fide, Sola Scriptura, Soli Deo Gloria

Key texts:
Ephesians 2:1-10; Romans 3:21-28; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Romans 11:36

Theme:
The heart of the Reformation was a return to the Gospel—God’s sovereign grace, received by faith, grounded in Scripture, for His glory alone.

1. Sola Gratia – Grace Alone
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.” – Ephesians 2:8–9

2. Sola Fide – Faith Alone
For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.” – Romans 3:28

3. Sola Scriptura – Scripture Alone
“All Scripture is breathed out by God… that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” – 2 Timothy 3:16–17

4. Soli Deo Gloria- To the Glory of God Alone
“For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever. Amen.” – Romans 11:36

Application:
•
Do you rest in Grace Alone, or do you try to earn God’s favour?
•  Is your trust in Faith Alone, or in your obedience or heritage?
•  Is the Scripture your final authority, or is it tradition, opinion, or feeling?
•  Do you live your life to the Glory of God Alone, or subtly to your own?
