Romans 16:25-27
25 Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret for long ages 26 but has now been disclosed and through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith– 27 to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! - The Revelation of the Gospel
a. Its Mystery
It was always God’s intention to also make the Gentiles partakers of the promise of Jesus in the Gospel (Eph. 3:4-6). As Gentiles, we rejoice at this mystery.
b. Its Magnitude
It is magnificent (Eph. 3:9)
c. Its Means
Revealed through the preaching of the Gospel (Rom. 10:13-14). - The Proclamation of the Gospel
a. Its Power
The Gospel of Jesus is the power of God unto salvation (Rom. 1:16-17).
b. Its Purpose
Demonstration of God’s Mercy and Grace bring Him glory (Eph. 1).
c. The Obedience of Faith
(i) Its Obligation – a life-long commitment to follow Christ.
(ii) Its Object – the Lord Jesus Christ.
(iii) Its Outcome – a transformed life. - The Glory of God
a. His Splendor – there is none like Him.
b. His Sovereignty – He controls everything.
c. His Sanctity – He is pure and holy and cannot tolerate sin (Is. 6).
