44 Abram’s and our Justification

Genesis 15:1-6

We see the following in the text:

  1. God’s Tender Reassurance
  2. Abram’s Troubled Response
  3. Abram’s True Righteousness

What does it mean to believe God?
Faith has 3 aspects: knowledge, assent and trust.
Without works your faith is dead. You need to know first what God says and then you need to act upon it. Works are not only the good things we do but the things we choose not to do. All who believe in Christ are going to heaven. Did Abraham have any alternatives to believing in God? The Christian believes everything that Christ says. Abraham believed the Lord and trusted Him.
